Computerized Vision Tester

The CV-5000S Automated Vision Tester sets new quality standards. The fast lens rotation provides comfort for both user and patient while the compact and contemporary design enhances the doctor’s professional image. The CV-5000S provides a complete 21-point refraction and features the KB-50S One Dial Controller with a 10.4” color touch-screen display. Complete connectivity allows data to be sent automatically to every CV system throughout the office and populated automatically into the EMR, making paperless refraction a reality.

Optical Coherence Tomography

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is an established medical imaging technique that uses light to capture micrometer-resolution, three-dimensional images from within optical scattering media (e.g., biological tissue). Optical coherence tomography is based on low-coherence interferometry, typically employing near-infrared light.

Electronic Medical Records

Advanced technologies begins with instant and secure access to electronic records. We were the first in the region to transition to a “paperless” work environment. This benefits our patients with more accurate and more efficient care.

Optomap Retinal Exam

The optomap ultra-widefield retinal image is a unique technology that captures up to 82% or 200 degrees of the retina are displayed in one single capture, compared to 45 degrees achieved with conventional methods. Traditional imaging methods typically only show 15% of your retina at one time.

Lasik Pre/Post Consultations

A pre-operative consultation will be done prior to lasik surgery to ensure that you are an excellent candidate for correction. The examination is done with the traditional “drop” dilation, so bring a driver if possible. Also, please do not wear any soft contacts for a week prior to the appointment or rigid gas permeable contacts a month prior to the appointment. The corneal health and corneal thickness will be measured during the appointment. All post-op appointments are scheduled after surgery to ensure a normal healing process is taking place. The usual post-op exams include a one day, one week, one month, six month and one year exam. All the pre and post-op exam fees are included in the price of lasik eye surgery.

“No Puff” Eye Pressure Test

Unique technology enables safe, painless and hygienic procedure Rebound technology is based on a rebound measuring principle, in which a very light-weight probe is used to make momentary contact with the cornea. In rebound technology, the motion parameters of the probe are recorded during the measurement. Induction based coil system is used for measuring the motion of the probe. Advanced algorithm combined with state of the art software analyzes the probe deceleration, contact time and other parameters of the probe while it touches the cornea. The deceleration and other rebound parameters of the probe change as a function of IOP. In simple terms, the higher the IOP, the faster the probe decelerates and the shorter the contact time.

Humphery & Frequency Doubling Visual Field Testing

Glaucoma, optic nerve diseases, strokes and other brain disorders may cause a loss of peripheral vision. We screen every patient with our Frequency Doubling (FDT) and when necessary we use our Humphrey Visual Field Analyzer which is the “Gold Standard”.

Corneal Topography

Our computerized corneal topographer measures the elevations and curves of the cornea and provides a detailed color map. This is very useful in evaluating corneal disease and fitting contact lenses.

Corneal Pachymetry

Recent scientific studies have shown that corneal thickness is an important factor in determining the risk of glaucoma. Our corneal pachymeter painlessly measures the thickness of the corneal.

Dry Eye

The surface of the eye is coated by a tear film. This tear film is made up of three separate layers. One layer helps the tear film stay on the eye, a water layer and an oil layer which helps the tears from evaporating. Any one of these layers can have problems which can cause the symptoms of dry eyes.

Diabetic Eye Exams

We take the time to make sure you understand your condition. With our Optomap Retinal scanner we are able to take pictures of the inside of your eyes. We can then show you the status of your condition and better monitor for any changes.
